During his time in Vancouver "Jelly Roll" Morton performed in the Patricia Café as well as roomed in the Patricia Hotel.

The Highballs
"The Highballs are lo-fi, light-hearted and lots of fun. That said, they also may have just partied their way into a an entirely new form of musical expression. My first stab at classification would go something like, "acoustic mariachi punk". The sextet have dreamt up not only a completely original style but the personas and pen names to go with it. You gotta smile along with any band that wears flowerpot fez's and has a drummer named Senor Discount. Montezuma's Revenge is a neat little disc recorded with little flourish and a lot of crazed energy. The tracks that blend surf and ska with the south 'o the border like 'Monkey' and 'Lavas Los Dientes' work best. Catch the LIVE experience if you can but don't be a sucker. These guys taunt for tequilas. I've seen it happen and it's not pretty." - Cal Koat
The Liquor Kings
Formed originally in 2010 as The $toolie$., they began playing around Vancouver near the end of 2010. Since then, they have slowly but surely forged ahead winning over fans one at a time with their unique 'In Yer Face' brand of guitar rock 'n' roll. Then, they began to develop this talent for drink~king, so it was only fitting to change their name in order to reflect this new talent. These booze-hungry liquor hounds are currently collaborating to publish their first album.
Since the beginning, they have made Princeton Pub their regular haunt, winning over the young and old alike. These guys truly believe in sticking to the 'old-school rock 'n' roll' while adding their own unique twist. Their legendary sound would be best described as west coast rock 'n' roll. "A talented five piece rock band featuring some heafty original tunes delivered in a none bullshit way," says the band themselves. They have played with such epic bands as; Texas Tombstone, East Vamps, Little Guitar Army, Gnash Rambler, Living Deadbeats, Suck Up To God, Gamelons, Amplitude, Social Outcast The Best Revenge, & East Van Playboys. For these furious five, the future is looking bright! So sit back, raise your beer glass, and all hail The Liquor Kings!
